Mwenezi’s silver streams

You can never sit for long without something happening below you in the vast Mwenezi River bed. The sun glints off the silver streams of water that wind and twist away off into the distance. These are the last deep channels of water that have survived the dry season and guaranteed life to creatures great and small. Watch with me: Bateleur Eagles, Ground Hornbills, baboons, kudu, giraffe, elephants, lion, wild dogs and more and more. If you’ve been here a dozen times it’s still not enough. You will never, ever tire of this wild and beautiful Zimbabwe. ©Cathy Buckle 2023.
