Day 6
So many of us in Zimbabwe have been in emotional, psychological and financial lockdown for two decades and we know that to cope with fear, isolation and loneliness we have to have hope. Today, after the senseless destruction of three tonnes of fresh produce by police in our starving Zimbabwe this week, my hope is in never giving up, in the endurance of so many who have so little. I took this photo a while ago of a young lad sitting on the side of a road arranging tomatoes in a tin bowl… each one polished and perfectly placed in the bowl to look its best. Endurance at its best.
