So many of us in Zimbabwe have been in emotional, psychological and financial lockdown for decades and we know that to cope with fear, isolation and loneliness we have to have hope. Today my hope is for the wisdom to look further than today. Everyday more and more people are out on the streets looking for food: no social distance, no masks, no sanitizers: undoing the sacrifices we have all made in the past 10 days.
